In order to revitalize
Albuquerque's downtown and to attract the "after five"
patron,
a plan was developed that incorporated a Century multi-screen
theatre. Instead of the blanket solid white walls of a typical
theatre, the design concept wrapped the theatre
in retail shops on three sides thereby further energizing Central
Avenue (Route 66).
